Yili Receives First Carbon Neutrality Verification Statement Issued by Bureau Veritas in China's Dairy Industry

On December 28, 2021, Bureau Veritas Group (hereinafter referred to as "Bureau Veritas") issued its first carbon neutrality verification statement in China's dairy industry to Inner Mongolia Yili Industrial Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Yili"). Mr. Zhao Xin, Vice President of Yili Group; Mr. Zheng Bin, North Regional Manager of System Certification Business Group of Bureau Veritas; Mr. Yu Changliang, Sales Manager of North Region of Bureau Veritas, and guest representatives from both parties attended the certification ceremony. Ms. Zou Fengxian, General Manager of System Certification Business Group of Bureau Veritas, however, participated via video conferencing. 

The Yili Carbon Neutrality Project was launched in April 2021. Professional teams of Bureau Veritas conducted carbon inventories for the entire value chain for Yili Group and its more than 60 factories, completed the carbon footprint calculation tables of 8 categories of products in the 4 major business divisions for technical review, assisted Yili Group in completing the Group's peak carbon dioxide emissions and carbon neutrality forecasts, compiled a road map for the implementation of the carbon neutrality strategy, and verified carbon neutrality. After confirmation by the Board of Directors of Yili Group, it finally obtained China's first carbon neutrality verification statement from Bureau Veritas in December.
