Bureau Veritas attended the 2019 China Marine Economy Expo (CMEE 2019) held at Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center on October 15th - 17th, 2019. This year's China Marine Economy Expo, under the theme of "Sharing Blue Economy Opportunities, Building a Shared Future", set five exhibition sectors which are Marine Economic Achievements Exhibition for Celebrating the 70th Anniversary of PRC (including the Guangdong - Hong Kong - Macao Great Bay Area Exhibition), Marine Resource Development & Offshore Equipment, Shipbuilding, Port & Shipping, Emerging Marine Industry and International Exhibition, and hosted 12 marine economy forums centering around such hot topics as renewable marine energy, marine equipment, deep ocean technology.
In the course of China's high-quality development, ocean has become a strategic area for achieving such development. The key to achieving rapid marine economy development lies in promoting the transformation and upgrading of the traditional marine industry, advancing the progress of high-tech marine industries, improving the capability of marine resources exploitation and developing the emerging marine industries of strategic importance.
