Jinan line 2 is the first fully automatic metro line with automation level GoA4 (which is the highest international standard of automation grade) in Shandong Province, and the fifth city in China. The line is 36.4 km long with 19 stations, opened for initial operation on March 26, 2021. BV provided a system-wide independent safety assessment for this project, including the vehicle subsystem, signal subsystem, integrated monitor subsystem, and platform door subsystem specific applications.
Jinan Line 2 project had a very tight schedule with numerous authorized nodes, and was required the entire line to open GoA4 at once. The difficulty of the project was extraordinary, while the final opening node must be guarded. Yet BV completed the evaluation of each node of the project in strict accordance with the standard requirements, which was consistent praised by the owners of Jinan Metro.
For More Information About the Independent Safety Assessment Service
The independent safety assessment of rail transit covers not only the safety assessment and inspection of fully automatic driverless systems and subsystems such as signals, vehicles, platform doors, integrated monitor and communication, but also the independent safety assessment
and TSI certification of management systems ISO 22163 (IRIS), welding standard EN 15085, vehicle supervision, product and engineering projects and interoperability TSI certification. This process ultimately ensures that the potential hazards and risks of fully automatic driverless operation are effectively managed and controlled in each core equipment system, as well as the reliability, availability, maintainability and safety of fully automated operational systems (achieving RAMS goal). Jinan Line 2 is also the first independent safety assessment project in Shandong Province with GoA4 initial operation, which has accumulated valuable experience and laid a solid foundation for the smooth implementation of subsequent projects. In China, has completed independent safety assessments and opened projects for three lines. In addition to Jinan Line 2, there are Chengdu Line 9 and Shanghai Line 15.
BV, as a world-renowned testing, inspection, certification and technical consultation service provider, has more than 30 years of global railway system safety and interoperability assessment experience in the field of railway and rail transit, and has been authorized by national certification bodies such as OQA in France, VIS in Italy and ETH in Spain. In China, BV has successfully completed independent safety assessments for several new fully automatic operation system projects, including Shanghai, Chengdu, Nanjing, Jinan, Nanning, Guangzhou, Fuzhou and Zhengzhou.
BV will strictly comply with international railway standards (EN 50126, EN 50128, EN 62267, EN 62290, EN 50126\8\9) from the inception of a rail transit project to its operation, offering trusted services for your railway and rail transit projects, including global
