Bureau Veritas helps Guangzhou Metro's new research achievements in low carbon environmental protection benchmark the international level

Recently, a scientific and technological achievement evaluation meeting was held for the project "Research on low-carbon environmental protection technical standards and evaluation standards for sustainable rail transit" led by Guangzhou Metro. The expert group all agreed that the results were generally benchmarked to the international level. For the first time in the rail transit industry, the project has completely put forward the green and low-carbon rail transit design standards and evaluation standards covering "stations, yards and lines", covering the whole range, specialty and process of the rail transit field. As a member of the project team, Bureau Veritas expressed heartfelt congratulations on this achievement.

The evaluation meeting was held in Beijing and Guangzhou by video connection. Seven famous experts and scholars, including Liu Jiaping, academician of the Chinese Academy of engineering and green building expert, formed the expert group of the evaluation committee. Based on the solid experience and technology of Guangzhou Metro in the field of energy conservation and emission reduction, the project cooperates with the overall design unit Guangzhou Metro Design and Research Institute, China Academy of Building Sciences, Beijing urban construction design and development group, China architectural standards design and Research Institute, Bureau Veritas and other units in various fields to carry out subject research. By integrating international standards, the carbon work process and method of rail transit standard stations have been established for the first time, Integrate the principle of "carbon emission optimization" into the whole construction process of design, construction organization, equipment procurement, operation and maintenance improvement. At the same time, the project also puts forward the evaluation standards of carbon dioxide emissions per unit passenger turnover and station operation per unit area for the first time. Based on the SBTI scientific carbon target initiative methodology, it puts forward the carbon emission prediction and "double carbon" strategic target roadmap of Guangzhou rail transit, defines the implementable technical path, and provides strong scientific and technological support for the realization of the "double carbon" target of rail transit.

At present, the project achievements have been applied in the design of Guanghua and fangbai intercity railways, and will be extended to a new round of line network design and construction. By creating a new green and low-carbon "three star" line benchmark in the industry, it will provide a reference sample for the development and implementation of "double carbon" in the industry. In order to further practice the concept of low-carbon environmental protection, the evaluation meeting adopted the form of "carbon neutralization" for the first time, that is, to write off the carbon emissions generated by the meeting by purchasing carbon dioxide emission reduction, becoming the first "zero carbon" meeting in the rail transit industry.

Guangzhou Metro said that it will continue to actively build green Metro and smart metro, and has accumulated rich technology and experience in the field of energy conservation and emission reduction. By adopting a series of energy-saving and environmental protection technologies such as green energy-saving design, solar photovoltaic power generation, high-efficiency refrigerator room technology and intelligent lighting system, it will continue to improve station environmental factors such as noise, temperature, light and air quality, and actively contribute to energy conservation and emission reduction.
