Aviation Safety Audit

For optimum selection of carriers

Tour operators, oil companies, energy suppliers, and other contracting parties charter or solicit the services of carriers operating commercial flights for the transport of their customers, goods, or personnel. Given the risks in terms of liabilities, assessing the safety level of their carriers is a concern and an issue of utmost importance. In addition, as questions of safety are part of the selection criteria for contracting parties and clients, a growing number of investors (including carriers) seek the opinion of third parties on the safety level of carriers that are subject to investment or acquisition.

  • What tools do you use to quantify the audit results?

We use a ranking or classification procedure: - based on criteria for assessing safety levels that we suggest or develop in close collaboration with you, - based on the levels of non-compliant items identified and the importance and critical nature (in terms of safety) of the audited processes. Consolidating this data produces an overall safety level for the audited carrier. We have generically defined five safety levels in decreasing order from the "significantly exceeds standard" to "largely below standard". At each of the levels, there are associated recommendations intended to help you makes decisions in the selection of your carriers.

  • Do you ensure the follow-up of corrective actions?

We ensure the follow-up of corrective actions first by analysing the relevance of the corrective action proposals provided by the audited carrier, then by verifying – on site or through documentation – the implementation of corrective actions.
